6 Ways to Get a Great Night's Sleep
Stop tossing, stop turning, and stop counting sheep. Getting a good night’s rest helps us function at our best. Increase your chances of getting a great night’s sleep with these few simple tips.

#1 Exercise – Being physically active during the day has been shown to help you fall asleep faster. It may even help you stay asleep longer.

#2 Remove distractions – Researchers tell us that the bedroom should be used primarily for sleep only. Do you have a television in your room? Do you like to work on your laptop in bed? Although this may work for some people, for those struggling with sleeping it is best to train your body that sleep in imminent when you crawl into bed.

#3 Prepare your sleeping space – Do you enjoy the look and feel of your bedroom? Is the light soft and welcoming or too bright? Is the room cluttered? Do your curtains block out the early morning sun? Are your pillow, mattress and bed covers comfortable? These are all important questions when trying to have a good night’s sleep.

#4 Avoid Caffeine – This one should be a no brainer, but it doesn’t stop some people from ingesting plenty of caffeine daily. Caffeine is a stimulant, and can inhibit you from falling asleep. So find yourself not getting to sleep? Think back on your day, did it include a late afternoon coffee, caffeinated soda or even chocolate? These could contribute to your inability to sleep.

#5 Relax - Relaxing activities before bedtime can also be an important factor in your sleep routine. Listening to relaxing music can help you to unwind and could help your mind avoid drifting to anything that might be stressful or pressing. Taking a warm bath can also prepare your body and help you feel relaxed. Part of getting to sleep may also be about just surrendering to it.

#6 Supplement - Darkness assists in the production of Melatonin – your body’s natural sleep aid. Yet due to aging, diet, stress or other factors, some people struggle with melatonin production and could possibly benefit from a melatonin supplement. Nature Made Sleep is a unique combination of Melatonin and L-theanine. With Melatonin and L-Theanine, Nature Made Sleep is a great supplement to help you catch the Z’s you need.

Sleep doesn’t have to be a challenge. There are plenty of ways to fall asleep and stay asleep, but different techniques work for different people. What are some of the ways you find work best for you when it comes to getting to sleep?
